Fiona invited Care4CE service users and volunteers to Parliament recently to thank them for all they do in the community.
Speaking after the event Fiona Bruce said
“It was a privilege and a joy to welcome Care4CE volunteers and supporters to Parliament and to present the volunteers each with a certificate for their valuable contribution to our local communities and its environment. This visit came out of an invitation I received from Phil Mason at Care4CE a few months ago to meet Care4CE volunteers and see the valuable community work they have done creating paths and walkways in woodland in Sandbach and so it was a pleasure to be able to thank so many of them for that and other community projects they work on. I would like to extend a very special thank you to Phil Mason and Dot Flint of Sandbach Partnership for helping make this special visit happen.”
Phil Mason of Care4CE said:
“Last Thursday was a day to remember for a group of service-users and staff of the service. In recognition for all their hard work in the local community, the group and representatives of partner organisations were invited to London by Fiona Bruce Congleton MP, to visit and have a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament and to receive certificates of recognition for their dedication and hard work. It was a truly memorable day, enjoyed by all who attended.”
Dot Flint of Sandbach Partnership said:
“I was very pleased about the visit which was fantastic. It hard to put into words how grateful those that attended were that Fiona extended the invitation, they felt so proud. It was a really good visit all round and I was very glad to be involved.”
