Sandbach School's Design & Technology (D&T) Department has been taking part in a national effort, working alongside the Design and Technology Association, to manufacture and supply equipment to essential services.

Sandbach School have manufactured, by the end of April, almost 3,000 visors which have been distributed to local care homes, hospitals and other essential frontline services.

Food Technology staff have taken over the running of kitchens to ensure that the school continues to provide hot and cold meals to pupils who are still on site, and packed lunches for pupils eligible for free school meals, but who are at home.

Fiona said:

"Thank you to Sandbach School's Design and Technology Department who have done so much to support our local essential services. This incredible work, along with that of other Design and Technology Departments across the constituency, and the country, demonstrates the vital importance and value of design and technology."
