"Well done to everyone in Alsager who worked so hard to make this weekend's lights switch on and Christmas market such a success - and so incredibly well supported by what must have been well over a thousand local folk. Special memories for local children. I hope Christine Bates, who worked so hard to make the event a success, gets well soon."
It is estimated that 10-12,000 visitors came along to enjoy the festivities, providing excellent footfall to local traders and charities and is a great example of community cohesion and partnership working.
