Fiona Bruce MP attended the WW1 exhibition organised by Cheshire Villages Great War Society held at The Civic in Alsager.
Fiona Bruce said “It was a pleasure to see in one place at Alsager Civic all the Great War artifacts, mementoes and important documentation gathered by Cheshire Villages Great War Society. I commend them for their work, bringing to us, over a hundred years later, insight into the many sacrifices made by those who fought for our freedom. I was particularly interested to see examples of the limited battlefield medical provisions and rudimentary communications systems of the day, and it was excellent that Rode Heath School, Excalibur Primary and Cranberry Academy’s school pupils were also engaged with the event and produced their own displays.”
