Brexit Update October 2019

Many hundreds of constituents continue to contact me regarding Brexit.

I always appreciate constituents informing me of where they stand on an issue and take every one very seriously.

Exiting the European Union

Thank you to all constituents who continue to contact me regarding the UK's EU membership.

The ballot paper in the 2016 referendum presented voters with an unambiguous choice, to Remain in the EU or to Leave. 

The immigration system and the NHS

A number of constituents have contacted me about the immigration system and the NHS.

We have been clear that we want all EU nationals, including those working in the NHS and the care sector, to stay in the UK after we leave the EU.

Further Comment on Our Exit from the European Union

I voted in 2016, as did the country, to leave the European Union. The country also voted, in large part, in the 2017 General Election for the two parties standing on a manifesto platform that they would honour the result of the 2016 Referendum.
