I voted in 2016, as did the country, to leave the European Union. The country also voted, in large part, in the 2017 General Election for the two parties standing on a manifesto platform that they would honour the result of the 2016 Referendum.
A number of constituents contacted me about the trade debate in Parliament on 21st February raising concerns about standards in future trade agreements, the scrutiny of such agreements, and investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) mechanisms.
