Fiona visited Tandom Metallurgical Group in Congleton today to meet with Andy Lumsden and Julie Gallagher of Nespresso at Radnor Park, Congleton today to hear more about the recycling there.
Fiona said:
"I was extremely impressed to see the extent of the recycling at Tandom, a major local business employing around 90 people, recycling an extensive range of products including the tiny Nespresso coffee pods which are transported from all over the country for central recycling here in Congleton. It is really good to know that we have a local business focusing on recycling these and many other products such as aluminium drink cans and smelting them down in their huge ovens, as I saw, for reuse into new products."
Fiona added:
"Recycling is becoming increasingly important to people as I saw at the launch of Plastic Free Congleton an I have now registered my Constituency Office as Plastic Free Business Champion."
