Age UK Cheshire East have launched a new project to raise awareness of scams with older people and provide much needed aftercare to victims of scams in the northern parts of the Cheshire East borough.
The two-year project, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the Garfield Weston Foundation, will deliver awareness sessions and information to older people groups and those supporting them. In conjunction with Cheshire East Trading Standards, one-to-one support will be offered to victims of scams.
When talking to the project’s manager, Sally Wilson, Fiona pledged her support for this important initiative, recognising the need for it throughout the coronavirus outbreak and beyond.
If you would like to volunteer to help on the project or think your group would benefit from an awareness session and information, please get in touch with Sally Wilson on 07932 999902 or sally.wilson@ageukce.org
