Fiona attend the event and said:
"It was a real pleasure for me - and my dog Phoebe!- to walk, with a large group of Sandbach residents representing several different community groups, along the new woodland trail from Dingle Bridge. The work of the Sandbach Woodland and Wildlife Group - under the enthusiastic and dedicated leadership of Dick Macaulay - in bringing this project to fruition after several years hard work, is something I'm sure many Sandbach residents will appreciate."
Fiona continued:
"I was particularly impressed at how many local groups had contributed to the work, from the U3A Environmental Group to the group of young - and not so young !- man in the CARE4CE group who did much of the 'heavy lifting ' - clearing pathways and laying fences, some of whom have worked on this and other Sandbach footpaths for over five years. It was good to be able to join Dick Macaulay on the opening of Dingle Bridge at the start of the walkway in thanking the men of CARE4CE for all their hard work - and equally good to hear from them that they had really enjoyed it!"
