  • Support Local Schools

    'Throughout my seven years as the Member of Parliament for Congleton, I visited schools across my constituency and welcomed many hundreds of students to Parliament, and a priority of mine was to fight for better funding for our local schools.'

  • Improve Local Transport Facilities

    'My transport plan is to secure Government funding to improve local roads and rail services; tens of millions of pounds have been granted by Government during my time as MP towards the Congleton Link-Road, M6 improvements, a Middlewich Bypass, and road service improvements across the constituency

  • Promote Jobs and Enterprise

    'I consider a key part of the local MP's role is to support local businesses wherever they can, working with them to troubleshoot problems and help create jobs; my own business background means I understand how hard people work to make their business a success.'

  • Champion Local Health Provision

    'I have worked to ensure the right local health services and facilities are available; so I successfully campaigned to keep Macclesfield A&E open, to bar car-parking charges at Congleton Hospital, for better support for GP surgeries, and those experiencing mental health difficulties.'

  • Protect Our Green Spaces

    'Since my election in 2010, I have been continuously concerned about the plethora of inappropriate planning applications in this constituency. I strongly believe that our fields and woodlands should be protected against excessive development.
