Constituents have contacted me about a resettlement scheme for Palestinian refugees.

I am not aware of any specific scheme for Palestinians to resettle in the UK. I understand that the priority of the UK Government has been to get British nationals out of Gaza. The UK also already has a global refugee scheme which is operated by the United Nations on behalf of the country.

The Government believes it should be using its diplomatic muscle, and overseas aid as the primary way to have the greatest impact in the world. As such, I welcome that the Government has committed an additional £30 million of aid to the Occupied Palestinian Territories to support humanitarian organisations to deliver assistance.
