Fiona praised the 1st Holmes Chapel Brownies and 3rd Holmes Chapel Rainbows for their engagement with Parliament Week this year.
The Brownies and Rainbows voted for which game to play, used ballot boxes and learnt many facts about Parliament as well as listening to a letter from their Local MP, Fiona, about her work and the work of Parliament.
On behalf of the Brownies and Rainbows at Holmes Chapel, Ros Middleweek said:
“Our Brownies and Rainbows heard all about Parliament, engaged with decisions and empowered themselves to find their voices to make choices. They voted for their choice of game and used ballot boxes, and had fun with the true/false game voting with their feet running from one end of the room to the other learning all sorts of facts about Parliament.”
Fiona said:
“Well done to everyone involved in Parliament Week at 1st Holmes Chapel Brownies and 3rd Holmes Chapel Rainbows, you sound like they had great fun and I’m very proud to be your MP!”
Fiona continued:
“I was also pleased that 1st Eaton and Hulme Walfield Brownies took park in Parliament Week – an annual festival of over 4000 events all over the country, the main aim of which is to help people, especially young people, feel more connected with their Member of Parliament and to help them learn about how Parliament works.”
