Fiona joined campaigners in Parliament in support of International Justice Mission, a global team of lawyers, social workers and human rights activists who Fiona has supported for over twenty years since the organisation was founded in the UK. They work around the world in partnership with local justice systems and local enforcement bodies together with organisations which provide aftercare for trafficked and exploited victims of slavery and violence. They also identify opportunities to enhance public justice systems to better protect people from slavery and violence in some of the poorest countries in the world.

“It is a privilege to support IJM and I have hosted a number of meetings for them in Parliament over the years. IJM globally has to date rescued over 50,000 people from slavery and oppression, arrested almost 4000 perpetrators and supported over 1600 convictions. They are a remarkable organisation, highly professional, rescuing victims, bringing criminals to justice, restoring survivors and strengthening justice systems and as result have seen slavery decrease dramatically across whole communities and cities, as slave owners and traffickers realise they can no longer act with impunity. I look forward to continuing to work with IJM in the future. For more information see ijmuk.org"
