Fiona has welcomed the announcement by the Government that the maximum stake on fixed-odds betting terminals (FOBTs) is cut to £2, from the current level of £100 – which is fifty times higher than that of other widely available gaming machines.
Fiona has lent their support to a campaign from leading charity Diabetes UK, calling for the public to be given clear nutritional information in restaurants, cafes and takeaways, as well as on the front of all pre-packaged food and drinks.
Fiona has welcomed the Government’s announcement of additional funding for Jodrell Bank and the Prime Ministers' visit to Jodrell Bank. Jodrell Bank have been allocated a further £16 million to maintain expand the excellent services and research undertaken there.
Fiona chaired a meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Faith and Society in Parliament looking at ‘What Works in Prisons – contributions of the Faith and Voluntary Sector to Prisoners and their Families’.
