Red Wednesday will be commemorated in the UK on Wednesday 28th November when churches, schools and public buildings will be lit red – to express solidarity with those persecuted for their Christian faith.

Fiona Bruce MP met with Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive of Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service to hear about the Fire Authority’s “planning for a safer Cheshire”.

Fiona and Joëlle Warren DL, Vice Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, joined the parade through Alsager to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day, on Sunday 11th November, and led the wreath laying by many representatives from the local community at the Cenotaph.

Fiona visited the exhibition held in St. Oswald’s Church, Brereton, near Sandbach, to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War One.

Fiona attended the annual Remembrance Service at St. Luke’s, Holmes Chapel, and the annual parade and wreath-laying. The service was conducted by Rev. Paul Mason, Vicar of St Luke’s.
