Hospital Parking Charges

Poorly patients and their families should not have to deal with the added stress of parking charges at hospitals.

I campaigned strongly against the proposed imposition of charges at Congleton War Memorial Hospital some two years so, and was pleased the local support for such a campaign was so strong and successful. I stand ready to do so again should this ever be proposed once more, and as Robert Halfon MP is very much aware from discussions I have had with him. I have long supported his views as expressed in the debate he led in Parliament on 1st February, that car parking charges at NHS hospitals in England are frequently unfair and should be abolished.

I have recently signed Early Day Motions 824, 826, 850 and 862 in this connection.
