Fiona Bruce attended the opening of a new skate park in Holmes Chapel over the weekend. The skate park will be a boost for local young people and families.
Speaking after the event, Fiona paid tribute to those who had made it possible, describing it as:
"An amazing addition to the already extensive facilities at the Sports and Community Centre there all developed by the visionary Parish Council and Partnership.
"It's great to see the local community in Holmes Chapel doing so much for young people. I have always been committed to helping boost the already thriving community life in Holmes Chapel and the others communities in the Congleton Constituency - and I have always been clear that young people must be an important priority for the local MP - most particularly at the moment that means my fight to secure the best funding deal for our schools. This is our children's future, and Government know that I am fighting every inch to ensure that they are given every chance for the best start in life."
Fiona also spent time over the weekend meeting with local people in Holmes Chapel and campaigning for their votes in the General Election on 8th June, with local Councillor Andrew Kolker.
